Overview
Overview:
Established in 2012, the Gabr Fellowship seeks to combat increasing tensions between the East and the West while sponsoring and fostering exchanges between emerging leaders from both cultures. The fellowship class is typically comprised of 10 Americans and 10 Egyptians between the ages of 24 and 35 who are emerging leaders in the areas of art, science, law, media, and entrepreneurship. Each year, the Fellowship expands to include additional nationalities.
While participating in seminars, workshops, and discussions, Fellows will work on collaborative projects where they can leverage their experience to develop impactful initiatives. The Gabr Fellowship participants will build leadership skills, an understanding of the “other”, and immerse themselves in complex policy matters.

Spud’s Thoughts:
I had a friend who participated in this fellowship and absolutely loved it! It’s on my list of potential programs to apply to. The fellowship provides a lot of opportunity to get funded to travel abroad.
