Overview
Overview:
The ProInspire Fellowship is a highly competitive, year-long program where early-career professionals transition from the private sector to the social sector and grow through on-the-job experience and participation in ProInspire’s leadership development program. Fellows bring strong business skills and perspective to a leading social sector organization in a targeted position focused on analysis, finance, fundraising, marketing, operations, human resources, project management, or strategy. They join the Fellowship cohort and begin ProInspire’s 12-month leadership development program upon their start date with the hiring organization.
With full-day workshops, coaching, leadership projects, peer-led activities, and self-guided learning, ProInspire’s leadership development program is customized for each cohort to help Fellows:
- Build competencies necessary to make an effective transition, excel in their role, and lead in the social sector
- Clarify their goals for impact and identify their career pathway
- Establish a network to support their ongoing professional growth
Hiring partner organizations pay annual compensation, provide benefits, and support their Fellow’s participation in the ProInspire Fellowship leadership development program. Compensation is $49,000 in Washington, DC and $52,000 in San Francisco Bay Area.

Spud’s Thoughts:
I can’t speak personally to the program, but it looks really interesting. Often times I talk with folks who have difficulty envisioning how to make a work transition – even though they know it’s something they want to do. This group provides you an early runway to get started.
