The MethodKits are decks of cards designed to help you develop ideas, get overview of a concept, and work together in meetings & workshops. Some of the kits are frameworks while some are libraries. Common uses for the cards are planning, brainstorming, development and evaluation of projects.
For example, a deck of cards may break out the various components of a ‘project’ – including your slogan, key customers, ambassadors, challenges, and revenue sources. You can use these cards in a variety of ways to help you map out a potential project you want to work on. Other cards range from personal development, to aspects of sustainability, to designing a kitchen.

These are easily some of my favorite card decks out there to use! It’s rare to find me traveling to a retreat or strategy session with a client without them in my back pocket. This page on their site gives you a lot of possible ways to use the cards. I personalize use the ‘Selection Grid’ method the most often, with my two axis’ being ‘Clear vs Unclear’ and ‘Important vs Unimportant’. One creative way I’ve facilitated activities using the Selection Grid method is by pairing people up in a speed dating format. Each pair has a few cards that they can chat through together as they relate to their individual projects, and then after 5 minutes, people switch and go to the next partner. This is a fun way to get a group of 12-20 people moving around and quickly sketching out the basics to their project. They also have some great pdfs you can download and print off from their website – these can also be really helpful.
