Overview

Overview:

Camelback Ventures’ Fellowship offers “friends and family” stage funding and support to new leaders with promising ideas, and empowers them to enact change within their communities. This year we anticipate that about 10% of applicants will ultimately be awarded a Fellowship.

During the six-month program, we provide coaching, capital, and connections to our entrepreneurs. Fellows receive dedicated 1:1 coaching for regular strategy, accountability, and support. We also provide specialized coaching in key areas (such as budget management and pitch deck design), along with peer mentorship within your purposefully chosen cohort. We invest up to $40,000 in each Fellow’s venture (capital). Fellows engage in in-person Summits to develop technical skills, as well as to deepen their relationships with tech talent, investors and other partners (connections).

We believe that social ventures founded by local entrepreneurs based in their venture’s target locale are more likely to create lasting impact within their community. Therefore, we prioritize local entrepreneurs, or individuals who are focused on creating educational and economic opportunities within their own cities, neighborhoods, schools, and communities.

Spud’s Thoughts:

I just heard about this fellowship so I don’t personally know of anyone that has gone through it yet. I was notified about the group through StartingBloc, which to-date has yet to lead me astray on epic social entrepreneurship programs.
